a lazer network

In a completely opposite direction from what JAKOB is proposing, I want to share this drawing I did the other day upon reflecting on my BRIDGE text. Here the site is viewed through the eyes of the train operator as he passes the site. The red line represents a tactical LAZER SYSTEM - which is meant to create and/or enhance the connection between the opposite sides of the platform/transportation-river.

SomeTHING attached to both points of depature for the lazer could attract audiences, thus creating a fleeting event, somehow establishing or re-affirming the connection between people on opposite sides, with opposite travel directions. Trains passing will of course break the connection, and become meaningful again as the river is clear of obstruction. Whether or not this idea encapsulates the ideas presented in the text is unclear and open for debate. EOF.

  1. one idea.

on both ends of the lazer, a system of transmitting text to the other side is set up. it could be made so that it would only be operateable when the lazer-beam is connected, but this is not necessary. (perhaps the lazer is infact a reciever/transmitter for morse code messages, or other.

  2. maybe this could be integrated in a dogma? some kind off procedure that should be carried out everytime the train is passing. this could also integrate things like the direction of the wind or positions of people in the gallery. example: 'everytime the train is passing lines connecting person X and person Y should be drawn on the floor'

  3. at some time during a short walk the other night i found myself very determined that utilizing the crowd, creating passageways or configurations of people, the aesthetic pleasures of walking, somehow is the right direction, perhaps somehow connected with telling a story about the place. its just so beautiful.
